Dryer Vent Booster

The homeowner was ready to buy a new clothes dryer believing her relatively new dryer wasn't functioning correctly as it took hours for a load of clothes to dry. She called me in to investigate. I found the dryer installer crushed the flexible duct at the rear of the dryer, left it way too long with 3 sharp bends preventing most of the wet air from being exhausted. In addition, there is a 35 foot long mix of flexible and rigid dryer ductwork under the house with several 90 degree bends further reducing the ability for the dryer to push the wet exhaust to the outside.
The issues were resolved with a direct connect rigid box duct from the dryer to the wall duct connection. Then a dryer exhaust booster that pulls air from the dryer and pushes it outside was installed so that the wet dryer exhaust was evacuated efficiently.
